Grace from Above

Poetry by B.L. Boitson

B.L. Boitson

Grace of my Father, from Heaven above,

you send me your mercy, power and love.

Dying of thirst, from your precious word,

now seeking knowledge, I soar as a bird.

Gentle hands you lay upon me, my heart and soul are cleansed,

once were they torn, but now we have made amends.

Your love I do find, my number one treasure,

for you have given me a peace, beyond any measure.

My simple words can never express, the feeling I have received,

from your forgiving, gracious heart I shall forever believe.

My life I do owe to you, for the promise I have made,

is much stronger than steel, worshiping you shall never be delayed.

So now my dear Savior, I ask in your name,

bless this day upon me, for without you my life would be put to shame.
