you gazed from face to face
soaked up the love
a baby full of grace
almost eighteen years ago
you embarked on your path -crazy life's swirl
we beheld your baby steps
from a wee lass to a lovely young girl
now, you're our graduate
we haven't gotten older, how can it be?
that our beloved young lady
leans out of the nest, ready to flee
smile and enjoy the world
keep those eyes wide
work hard, but play harder
know you've still got us on your side
school is over
real learning shall begin
take care of yourself, but reach out to others
that helps the whole world to win
