Graduation Day: the Final Hoorah

Gowns are on, caps in place,
Relatives standing, no sitting space.
All classes finished, grades are now in,
Decorations are hanging all 'round the gym.
Uniforms handed down to the next group,
As well as tall tales of the Lunch Lady's "soup."
Twelve years worth of memories and many friends, too,
It's hard to believe that they've all made it through.
On to the next stage of the journey called, "Life,"
No worries today; no heartaches or strife.
Days like today are celebrations for all,
And tomorrow can answer life's grownup call.
Yes! It's Graduation Day!
