Grady Sizemore Naked Pictures Tempest in a Teacup?

Of course, the first thing that shot through everyone's mind when they heard about Grady Sizemore's naked pictures appearing on the internet and that he was none too pleased about it was: When are people ever going to learn? You don't want your naked ass all over the internet, do not take pictures of your naked ass -- period. Grady Sizemore could have saved himself some embarrassment and time had he followed that one simple rule. But no, Grady Sizemore, the Cleveland Indians star slugger, had to take some naked pictures of himself in front of a mirror for his girlfriend, Playboy Playmate Brittany Binger, for "personal use" only and... well, now those naked pictures aren't just being shared between two people any longer.

"We fully support Grady as he deals with this personal matter," the Cleveland Indians organization said in a statement. "The posted photos were stolen from his girlfriend's e-mail account and a legal investigation is under way.

It seems that Brittany Binger's e-mail account was hacked into and the scandalous pictures of a naked Grady Sizemore were "leaked" onto the internet -- including one where he posed fully nude with a teacup in front of his "baseball equipment." Sizemore went straight to Major League Baseball and asked for their help tracking down and putting a stop to the posting of the pictures. Investigators from MLB contacted websites and asked them to take the pictures down. According to the Los Angeles Times, many of them did. However, one of the websites not only kept the naked pictures up, they posted the message from the contacting official. The message indicated that the pictures had been stolen and that the website was directed to "preserve any related records in anticipation of a criminal complaint."

Grady Sizemore, 27, is pretty steamed about the picture leakage. He said that the pictures were meant for his girlfriend, Brittany Binger, only. But his only public comment was to the Cleveland Plain Dealer Sunday, and his words may have been used as the outline for the Cleveland Indians' official statement. "These pictures were stolen illegally from my girlfriend's e-mail. It's now a legal matter that is under investigation. I can't say anything more."

There are at least 15 pictures of Grady Sizemore circulating. The Indians center fielder took the pictures of himself with a cell phone. In many of them he was looking into a bathroom mirror. Sizemore is fully clothed in some of the pictures, partially clothed in some, and fully naked in others.

But haven't we been down this road before? Grady Sizemore's naked pictures problem sounds a lot like the Adrienne Bailon and Vanessa Hudgins naked pictures problem. An outraged high-profile individual becomes publicly humiliated by pictures they took of themselves in a mirror that somehow got hacked and "leaked" to the internet?

And then we're back again to: When we people ever learn?
