The weekend long party will kick off Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 8 pm with the Grand Marshal's Kickoff to Southern Decadence upstairs at The Bourbon Pub and Parade. The event will benefit United Services for AIDS. Later at midnight, ChiChi LaRue will bring her Battle of the Bulge as her official kickoff to the weekend. Tickets to ChiChi's event are $20 or free if you purchase one of the VIP Weekend Passes.
Lady Bunny will start things off on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 8 pm with her Lady Bunny Gets (Even More) Decadentperformance. Tickets for this performance are on sale now and the event will sell out! Stick around for Euphoria, the all night long dance party that starts right after Lady Bunny's performance and will cost between $20 - $30. Again, those smart people who purchase the VIP Weekend Pass will get in free. DJs will be announced as the event gets closer.
Don't miss Shirley Q. Liquor Sunday, September 1, 2007 at 4 pm. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended as last year the line for this show stretched two blocks! Following Shirley Q.'s show, The Bourbon Pub and Parade along with Napoleon's Itch will present the 3rd annual Bourbon Street Extravaganza. This outdoor concert takes place on the corner of Bourbon Street and Saint Ann Street and is free to the public. This year performances include Deborah Cox, Jeanie Tracy, Fredrick Ford, and more! Follow all of this up with a dose of Deca-Dance XIX upstairs at The Bourbon Pub and Parade. Tickets for this event range from $20 - $30. VIP Weekend Pass holders get in free (definitely a deal as you can tell by now)!
Sunday, September 2, 2007 is the highlight of the weekend. The Official Parade of Southern Decadence will be led by Grand Marshals Electra City, Marcus Martinez, and Guadalupe at 2 pm sharp. This is the day to show off those fabulous decadent costumes you have prepared for the weekend. Meltdown is the dance party not to miss with performances by Pepper MaShay and entertainment choreographed by ChiChi LaRue featuring some of her greatest guys! This event is ticketed at $20 - $30 but is, of course, free to VIP Weekend Pass holders.
All good things come to an end Monday, September 3, 2007 with the final dance party at The Bourbon Pub and Parade at 9 pm. General admission for this event is $10.
