Grand Opening of Second Chances Christian Bookstore

The grand opening of Second Chances Christian Bookstore happened this week. Second Chances Christian Bookstore is located at 1303 Homestead Rd. N in Lehigh Acres, Florida. The store's phone number is (239) 810-8807. The store hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is owned and operated by Kimberly and Matthew Gordon.

Second Chances Christian Bookstore also has a website. It can be found at www.secondchanceschristianbookstore.com. Even if you do not live in the local area you can order merchandise, and have it shipped to you. They have many wonderful items online and at the bookstore. Kimberly Gordon assured me that if a person cannot find a certain item that she can order it for you.

The town of Lehigh Acres, Florida seems to be very excited about Second Chances Christian Bookstore. One of the reasons is that there does not seem to be another Christian bookstore in the area. Many churches in the local area have come together to support this bookstore because there is such a need for one like it.

I had my own personal experience with it today. Second Chances Christian Bookstore is very pleasing to the eye. It is painted in quaint colors that make the place seem homey and cool at the same time. There is even a couch in one of the sections of the store for people to sit down. Plus a café where a person can sit down have drinks, something to eat, and even enjoy the free Wi-Fi.

The store has several unique sections to it too. There is a prayer room where anyone can go into to pray for whatever is on their heart. There is a community room directly in front of the store where anyone that promotes Christianity can leave literature or even use it for Christian activities.For example, I am interested in the Bible studies that are being planned.

The really unique part of the store that caught my eye is the music portion of the store. There is a stage that holds music equipment such as guitars and drums. The store helps promote a free music program for teenagers. Volunteers have come together to teach the teenagers in our community how to use their vocals, play drums, play guitar, and other musical interests. My own son is excited about learning guitar there.

Speaking of teenagers and music, Second Chances Bookstore will soon be having their 1st Annual Root Beer Kegger. It will be held on August 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be music, food, and root beer. Artists that will be playing are Horizons Fall, From You To Me, and Born Of Dust.

While talking to Kimberly Gordon I could feel her excitement about her Christian bookstore being not only a Christian bookstore, but also for it to be a way to open a Christian ministry for all who need it in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Not only did her excitement rub off on me, but I could sense that it also was rubbing off on the fellow customers that were there. I think everyone should check out this unique bookstore that has now opened up in the Lehigh Acres community.
