Grand Rapids, Michigan to Attempt World Record Largest Zombie Walk! Be There! Be Un-Dead!

United States of America
So what is a zombie walk you might ask? A zombie walk is a social event wherein a large group of people dress up as zombies and behave like the undead as they progress through an urban center. It's like a scene out of a classic horror film brought to life except in this case the "zombies" will proceed in a pretty much orderly, though distinctly undead, fashion through downtown Grand Rapids. The undead participants will assemble at Rosa Parks Circle and begin their (hopefully) record-breaking walk at 9pm Eastern time following a pre-established course which terminates at The B.O.B. where they will be holding a Zombie Walk after party, the Gates of Hell event night, from when the Zombie Walk ends at 10 pm until 2 am.
All you need to do is dress like a zombie and shuffle over to Rosa Parks Circle in Downtown Grand Rapids and you could help make a World Record and possibly even be on national television! According to Rob Bliss of The Rob Bliss Urban Experiments "This is not a joke! I was contacted by True Entertainment out of LA and they'll be flying a whole crew and the host of a new TV show on DISCOVERY CHANNEL to film for a COMPLETE EPISODE on this event! If you or your friends want to be on National TV, come!" You can see the official Rob Bliss Facebook Zombie Walk invitation page here.
Your zombie gear does not need to be elaborate - a bit of mussed hair, a dirty shirt with some fake blood on it and a jaunty shamble should do the trick. Or all of you hardcore zombie lovers can do it up righteously with full theatrical zombie make up and grave dirt if you please!
So, if you are going to be in or near Grand Rapids on Devil's Night, October 30, 2008 you should put on your worst clothes and get un-cleaned up for a really dead night of gruesome fun.
