My grandma learned this recipe from her mother and taught it to me. The fudge is less creamy and more crumbly. My entire family looks forward to this fudge all year, but traditionally we make it at Christmas.

Directions for Grandma's Christmas Fudge Recipe
1
Step 1
Grease a square pan thoroughly with butter or margarine. Be sure to grease the bottom as well as the sides.2
Step 2
Combine the cocoa, milk and sugar in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves.3
Step 3
Increase the heat slightly and bring the mixture just to a boil. Do not stir. 4
Step 4
Reduce heat to medium low and cover. Remove the lid after three minutes and keep cooking the mixture until it reaches soft ball stage, which is between 235 and 245 degrees on a candy thermometer.5
Step 5
Remove from heat. Add the peanut butter and let stand to cool for about 10 minutes. 6
Step 6
Stir in vanilla and pour into greased pan. Let stand in a cool, dry area for three or four hours until firm. Cut into bite-size pieces and store in a lidded container.- How to Make Delicious Christmas Fudge
