Grandma's Jam

A Summer Vodka Drink Recipe

Grandma's Jam (Summer Drink Recipe)

The history behind Grandma's Jam:

Earlier this year, my husband and I were introduced to drinking vinegar by the kind people at Sage and Sea Farms, LLC at a renaissance fair. At their suggestion that drinking vinegar can be added to any drink recipe, we have had a great time mixing drinking vinegar in with our favorite beverages and coming up with a few summer cocktail recipes of our own. Our favorite, called "Grandma's Jam" is a fruity summer cocktail that is both sweet and tart like fresh strawberry jam made in Grandma's kitchen. It is a light vodka mixed drink, generally served neat (without ice) and perfectly suited as a summer cocktail or dessert drink.

Ingredients:

2 oz. chilled vodka (we use Rain Organics Vodka)

1 oz. chilled Strawberry Drinking Vinegar (purchase it at www.sageandseafarms.com)

5 oz. chilled Apple Cider

Directions:

Pour the ingredients into an 8 ounce glass. Mix lightly with a stir-stick and serve. For those with a sensitive palate, mix as directed and serve on the rocks (with ice) in a 12 ounce glass. Enjoy.
