Grandma's Kitchen: Suppertime

Butterfly
Each night at supper

Always first we bowed our heads

Offered up a thankful prayer

All of us who gathered there

Friends and neighbors pulled up chairs

Plenty food for all to share

Lots of meat and potatoes

Served with loving care

Oven fresh baked bread

Yummy homemade applesauce

A glorious spread

Afterward she would treat us

With special desserts

That were all so delicious

They were made with love

By our Grandma so precious

Just to share with us

Every night at suppertime

Thanks for sharing your memories with us. My grandparents mean as much to me as yours do to you, for sure!
