No matter how hard I tried, I could never get my pralines tasting exactly like Grandma's. When she finally shared her recipes with me, I quickly found out why. Her recipe is just too good to not share with the world!
Here's What You'll Need:
1 3 and 3/4 oz package butterscotch pudding mix
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 tbs margarine
1 1/2 cups pecans
What You'll Need To Do:
Combine all ingredients except the pecans, in a saucepan and cook slowly until sugars dissolve. Add pecans and cook to soft ball stage (233 degrees). Cool and beat to thicken. Drop by teaspoons on waxed paper.
Yields 15 4-inch pralines. Yum! It is also worth mentioning that these little gems freeze well!
