This is Charlie.
They are very, very different.
Grandpa is old. Charlie is very, very young.
Grandpa is big. Charlie is very, very small.
Grandpa likes sitting on the porch swing and talking about the weather. Charlie likes to play with his toys and put things in his mouth.
But in many ways, they are very much the same.
Charlie sometimes has trouble getting food in his mouth. So does Grandpa.
Charlie sometimes has trouble walking. So does Grandpa.
And when Charlie takes a nap, Grandpa does too.
Sometimes Grandpa doesn't understand what everyone is talking about. Sometimes Charlie doesn't either.
Sometimes Grandpa needs some quiet time to himself. Sometime Charlie does too.
And they both love going to the zoo more than anything in the world!
When Grandpa tells one of his stories, everyone in the family stops and listens. When Charlie plays with his toys and giggles, everyone watches him and smiles. And when Charlie and Grandpa are playing together, nobody gets any work done!
Everyone in the family loves Grandpa. Everyone in the family loves Charlie. And Charlie and Grandpa love them all right back.
But Grandpa and Charlie have an extra special love with each other. They understand each other. They love each other. Even though they are very, very different.
