Granite Bay Montessori Preschool in Roseville, California

Finding a good preschool can be challenging because there is so many of them. I have been researching and trying to find a god preschool for my own two and a half year old child. A good preschool that I found is called, Granite Bay Montessori Preschool located in Roseville, California. I like Granite Bay Montessori for many reasons.

Granite Bay Montessori has an outstanding staff. They work well with the children. I saw about fifteen children and two teachers when I was visiting. I could tell the teachers were making an effort to interact with all the children and not leave anyone. For example, when the children were playing during free time the teachers were going around and asking the children different questions about their play. I saw a little boy playing with a plane. One teacher asked questions such as, "Where is your plane flying to? Is your plane flying high or low?" The teacher connection was very positive for the children. I could see the children would feel happy that the teacher was interested in what they were doing.

Granite Bay Montessori has a wonderful curriculum. I was asking one of the teachers about the curriculum that they use. She told me they have a theme such as dinosaurs and activities throughout the day are centered on that theme. She told me they have been reading books about dinosaurs, doing dinosaur art, playing dinosaur games and incorporating different dinosaur activities in the centers they have. For example, in the table toy area they had dinosaur puzzles and dinosaur lacing that the children can play with during free choice time.

Granite Bay Montessori gets the parents involved. They school beliefs that parents are the first teachers in the child's and should continue to be a part of their education throughout their lives. So the teachers welcome parent's to participate in the classroom are always open to parent's ideas of what activities can take place in the classroom.

Granite Bay Montessori has a clean facility. The floors, tables and toys are all clean. The staff is always making sure everything is sanitized. They know that germs can spread quickly and children can easily become sick so everyday effort is made to clean.

Granite Bay Montessori cost vary depending when how long you want your child to attend. For example, for five days a week half day it costs $461 and for full day $569. There is also a $500 dollar tuition. It's a bit pricey.

Granite Bay Montessori is an excellent school with wonderful staff and educational curriculum for the children. Granite Bay Montessori is a school I would recommend to anyone who wants to start their child in preschool.
