Grapes on the Vine (a Poem)

Maria Malone

Sweet gems of nature
sparkle in sun-
soaked splendor
on a hilltop vineyard
near the sea.

Diamonds dangling
on thorny necklace
plumped in anticipation
of gala expectation
to be.
