SPOILER WARNING: If you've seen the film (or read the comic book adaptation) than you know that Royce and Isabelle find themselves stranded on the alien planet after defeating their Predator captors. They've since been surviving by killing not only other predator hunters but also other alien life forms that have been abducted like them. Their survival instincts have not gone unnoticed by other predators as they've finally seen suit to send the ultimate predator hunter after them. Now they must learn to be as one to overcome one of the strongest and most ruthless of predator hunters.
Unlike the comic book adaptation of the film which was told from Isabelle's perspective this book is told from Royce's perspective who has come to understand and respect the game that the predators have crafted and for which he finds himself trapped. In order to beat the predators at their own game he has to learn to understand their rules and become as ruthless a hunter as they are.
This story is written by David Lapham with pencils by Allan Jefferson and has a talented team with them. Although not as interesting as the film adaptation itself due to the fact that the page count is significantly lower, therefore the story has to get to the action as soon as possible. Despite this short misgiving the book is a quick read and when read with the movie adaptation is not that bad.
