Grassroots Efforts Prompt Boycott of "Made in China" Products
Across the U.S.: Trying to Make a Strong Statement to Our Government & China
Over the last twenty years, America stopped buying American. We have gotten so used to getting a "deal", we have allowed ourselves to accept anything in the name of saving money. We don't stop to think about the quality as much as making good use of every dollar we have. With the economy in the toilet, "cheap" looks even better.
Chinese products are probably the most abundant. We pick stuff up from the grocery store and never even look at the labeling or anything else, except the price. I agree it is nice to save some money on anything you can. But, have you ever stopped to think of the price you are paying to save a dime? What risks to your health or your families health?
As we have witnessed over and over in the last few years, China will do absolutely anything to make their dollar. They will use toxic chemicals in the production of childrens toys. They will put stuff in babies food products that we wouldn't feed the dog. There are thousands of homes that now are finding the Sheetrock they spent good money on, came from China and is full of toxic stuff.
If you are like millions of Americans, you are really tired of this. We have paid money for products, and these manufacturers in China are putting anything out the door, at the risk of poisoning us on everything from A-Z. Obviously, our Government isn't going to do anything about this. Why would they? If it were not for China, we would probably be broke. Most of our Bailout money came from them. We are still borrowing money.
Now Americans, across the country are standing up and fighting back. Why can't China produce safe, quality products? Why do we continue to buy them? Are we stupid? No.
From June 4th until July 4th, Americans are going to Boycott Chinese made products. It is going to cost you an extra penny or two and will take up a few more minutes in the stores, to read labels or ask questions. Is it going to be worth it? It won't break China. But, it will put some hardships on places like Walmart, that use many Chinese products. Building supply stores will also take a hit, but so what? Whose welfare are we looking out for? Ours or people who are pocketing nice profits at our expense?
It doesn't take much to make this a habit when you shop. Just look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.
Just go ahead and assume control on your own. THINK ABOUT THIS: If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor...fast!!
If you haven't joined this Grassroots effort...Tell your friends..Get started today. When you buy those weekend barbecue items, take an extra second to check the label. Invest in America.Put someone in America back to work...Buy American! Stop the Abuse from Chinese negligence. Send a message to both our Government and the Chinese, that we will not continue to tolerate dangerous projects, just to save a little money.

Post a CommentMy boycott is lasting alot longer than what you were hoping for. I am just so tired of the dangers of buying from China. My family just means to much to me to take a risk on these products. Although I am not a fanatic about it, just this week I refused to buy nailpolish from China and a set of bowls that said China on it. Anything that could potentially reach ones lips should never be bought from china, thus the reason for this weeks purchses to be made in the USA.
Speak for yourself!
Americans stopped buying American because of ruthless American corporations that shipped our manufacturing to CHINA...for their own personal gain.
We can't find Made in the USA, in the US. I know plenty of Americans who shop for quality vs. CHEAP. They shop for the long run...I am one of them.
Corporate America..i.e., that scourge WALMART is what brought toxic Third world garbage to these shores. Why do you think the Republicans were so hell bent on opening up Communist China. That by the way is it's real name, until US corporations sent US jobs over there.
Indians worldwide shall join Americans in the boycott of cheap and toxic Chinese products. Communist China is doing everything possible to harm India by selling spurious medicines in Africa labelled as 'Made in India', selling mobile phones without serial numbers thus helping terrorists, collaborating with the terrorist nation of Pakistan in all matters including illegal sale of nuclear technology, claiming land in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, selling arms to ULFA and Maoist terrorists etc.
If only the film industry get involve in educating the american public, it would open public debate and also send a powerfull message against not only u.s. corporations but the u.s. goverment and also the chinese goverment.something has 2 b done
We should also do this at Christmas time. Outsourcing our jobs is just plain stupid and we have gone along with it for too many years. It's time to bring our jobs home. Nice job, Rose.
Thank you for this! I am not only going to post this to my Twitter and Facebook, I am favoriting you right now, and apologize for not coming to see your wonderful content sooner! Thanks again, you DO get what you pay for (check out my article on AC: "Is China trying to Kill Us?". Not so much for my mediocre work on that piece, but for the flood of comments from folks who have been burned by inferior Chinese-made products, all in the name of trying to save a flippin' nickel!) Incidentally, since greedy American manufacturing interests are as concerned with their bottom line and profit margins as consumers are with getting everything as cheap as possible, finding non-Chinese made products of any kind is quite an endeavor at best!
Interesting concepts. Mizpah ;-}}>
I'll post it too. The only thing is that first...it's not going to work. Secondly even if it does the trade imbalance is still there because while we're buying crap from them they're not buying ours. Does this boycott also include our military's bullets? Yup. That's where the Army gets their ammo...from China. The current state of affairs isn't because of us. It's all in place as part of a bigger scheme perpetrated by international banksters. In order to truly rule the world they must bring down the crown jewel of liberty The United States of America. Thank you.
I wish I'd known about this BoyCott yesterday, but I don't remember buying anything anyway. This is a great idea! I will do my best to avoid buying cheap and dangerous products made in China. I just wish more people were aware of this boycott. I'm posting this article to my Facebook page at Hally-Blow Zak. Thanks!
