Gratitude to Improve Your Lifestyle

Gratitude by definition is the quality or feeling of being grateful. Waking up every morning and deciding to say "thank you" for all the blessings you have received in your life is a wonderful way to grow appreciation for what you have. Most people can find negativity in anything. We are quick to point out what is going wrong with our lives or for that fact what is wrong with other's lives. By practicing gratitude everyday we have the power to gain likeness for just about anything. Often people look around and see what went wrong in their lives. In this day and age, we always want more and need more. Our society is based on getting rid of the old and getting the new. How could anyone possibly sustain a constant level of happiness when they are not happy with what they already have. We get a new car and then something newer comes out that seems much better, so then of course we must have that newer car instead. This is just one example of how many of us think. By taking the time to enjoy the things that we have accomplished and received with gratitude we can then begin to see the change unfold in our lives. Appreciation for everyone and everything can change our attitudes towards the circumstances that we face. Ralph Marston said "what you do today can improve all your tomorrow's." Now that is something to think about.
