Great American Idol Quotes

Kari Livingston
American Idol is known for producing top selling recording artists, but it also produces some great quotes. Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and the sometimes incoherent Paula Abdul offer zingers and in many cases, unintentionally funny quotes.

"I'm speechless." - Paula Abdul. If we could only be so lucky. Paula's ramblings have grown legendary. She has seemed more coherent in her criticisms this year, but the show seems almost incomplete with out at least one rambling monologue.

I've never been drunk. I have never done recreational drugs. Just look at my 20-year career. Tell me someone who is into partying and or doing drugs that could have done that." - Paula Abdul. And she's done exactly what?

"When people expect me to go right, I'll go left. I'm unpredictable." - Paula Abdul.

"This is the best season ever!" - Randy Jackson. On the surface, this quote isn't particularly funny, unless you remember that he has said this on every single season-- except this one. Even the resident American Idol cheerleader can't find musch to praise in this lackluster bunch.

"I think the talent is better than ever, and it's more balanced than ever. There are some great boys and great girls. Every year that the show does well and the public tunes in, it validates it more, so better and better singers come out." - Randy Jackson

"There's great girls, great boys, I mean I know you hear us say it every time but truly, truly good talent. And I think it's the year for the boy, finally!" - Randy Jackson Are you seeing a pattern?

Finally, the most quotable of all of the judges is the acerbic Simon Cowell. Known for being both cruel and honest, Cowell brings his own brand of humor to American Idol.

"If your lifeguard duties were as good as your singing, a lot of people would be drowning." - Simon Cowell

"I never want to hear that song again. I cannot stand it. I'm allergic to it." - Simon Cowell

"It's like Randy went deaf this year. I don't know what happened." -Simon Cowell

"Shave off your beard and wear a dress. You would be a great female impersonator." -Simon Cowell

"Did you really believe you could become the American Idol? Well, then, you're deaf."- Simon Cowell

"I think the little girl's face says it all."- Simon Cowell

"There were moments of complete torture in that vocal to be honest with you." - Simon Cowell

As mean as he can sometimes be, tens of thousands of people wait in line for hours to be insulted by Cowell, and ratings for American Idol are as high as they have ever been. Are we tuning in for the music or to see what the judges will say next?

Well you have lost me as a viewer and I will be boycotting your show. Im sick you would destroy the integrity of a show that uses the name American Idol and displays a know lesbian as a judge of all things. You are a bunch of sell-out jerks and obviously this show has run it's course. Good Buy !!!!!
