Great Balls of Love (aka Brigadeiros)

Jessie Penn
Chocolate! It's been said that eating chocolate creates a biochemical reaction that is very much like being in love. People who have been dumped can attest to this notion.

If you've recently broke off an affair, you might want to just eat the whole mixture right out of the pan.

Brigadeiros (Balls of Love)

2 cans condensed milk

1 stick of butter

1 cup chocolate powder (sweetened)

1 cup chocolate sprinkles

Mini-cupcake holders

Melt half the butter in a saucepan. Add the condensed milk and chocolat epowder, and mix well. Let simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, or until it thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Once the chocolate mixture is cool enough to handle (about 10 minutes), butter your hands with the remaining ½ stick of butter. Scoop up about ½ teaspoon of the dough (or more) roll it into a ball, and drop into the sprinkles. Place the sprinkle-coated ball in the mini-muffin pan or put them on a plate. Re-butter your hands as often as necessary so the mixture doesn't stick to them.

Let the balls sit for about one hour at room temperature. (Don't put them into the refrigerator because they will get hard and sticky.)

Okay, now you're ready to get the lovin' you crave! Enjoy!
