Then try this one out. If you have a Wii at home it is the best entertainment for a group of kids.
I found the best games on the Wii for the party are the Wii sports games that usually come with the Wii. The bowling is a great example of a game that 4 kids at a time can play and it doesn't take that long to get a game played.
Remember these are kids (or adults for that matter ) but it is a great idea to keep them occupied and keep it fun.
Send the invites out to the kids friends telling them to come prepared for a night of fun games to get them interested for what lies ahead.
What do you need?
Well in this case a Wii, as well as decorations, food & drink to keep the little tikes happy and fed.
How Do you prepare?
Well i have found that the best way to prepare for anything is a list. As you think of things you may need for the upcoming party write them on the list so you don't forget them. Then take the list along when you are getting things for the party so you don't come home to realise that you have forgotten something and need to hop back in the car.
The Set Up!
Here is where you should really put in the effort. Set up the area with streamers and balloons, and if you are playing bowling for example, move some furniture aside so it gives the feeling of a lane. The expression on the kids faces as they walk in to see what is ahead is priceless!!! Some of the parents have even asked me if they can stay and take part. Maybe another day but NOT on the kids day.
The Party!
A very important thing to remember is to keep the kids interested and make them a part of proceedings. Let them draw the names out of a hat for who is playing who. Have prizes for all sorts of things, making sure that all the kids get a prize for something. Use your imagination here so they all think that they won for a good reason.
Now after a few rounds of bowling, or boxing if they so desire, make sure you break for food and something to drink to keep them happy.
Then back into it making sure the kids keep involved, by either keeping a total of who has beaten who, what the highest score was, who had the best bowling action as well as anything else you can think of.
The result!!
The kids go home bragging about what a great party it was and the kids are all talking about it at school for the next few days.
Now this is a party that I have done for 3 of my 4 kids, the daughter will have one later this year, and I have enjoyed it as much as them.
I am thinking of having my mates over to have a party like this one.
Maybe you should too.
Keep well and keep smiling.
