Who doesn't like a great novel that will give you a thrill? If you are into adrenaline pumping books that will knock your socks off then you need to check out my list of the top thrillers to read for summer 2009. I guarantee that you will be satisfied once you have completed it and will be wanting more from these great authors.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

Just in time for the end of summer is Dan Brown's latest novel featuring symbologist, Robert Langdon. The entire book takes place during a 12 hour period and fans will be on the edge of their seats as they follow along in anticipation. If this book is as good as Brown's others fans will be in for a treat. This is definitely one that is worth reading.

The Shack by William P. Young

If you are into Christian fiction that packs in some thrill and mystery then you need to pick up The Shack. In this story the main character's daughter is abducted during a family vacation. A few years later the main character receives a note inviting him back to the shack where his daughter was murdered. Follow along and find out the answers to the mystery of this book. This book is very popular and highly recommended on Barnes and Noble.

Dracula by Bram Stoker

Before Twilight became popular Count Dracula was there for vampire lovers all over the world. This classic thriller is an extremely popular book written by Irish author Bram Stoker. The town's folk isn't safe with this blood sucking night dweller on the lose. If you are looking for an amazing book to occupy your summer then look no further than Dracula.

Digital Fortress by Dan Brown

This book is one of Dan Brown's earlier novels. If you love codes and code breaking then you will definitely dig this book. It features Susan Fletcher, a NSA cryptographer, who along with her fiance must stop the spread of an algorithm that will break down the NSA's firewalls. From the first page to the last one you will be intrigued and held in suspense. This book is true Dan Brown greatness.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon by Tom Clancy & David Miles

Tom Clancy is a mastermind when it comes to military thrillers. This book follows his militaristic genre however it is penned by David Miles. Come aboard with the best of the best in the military world, the Army Special Forces. If you love a good military tale then this one is for you.
