Great Brunch Places in Greensboro, NC

Sunday brunch is a delicious and popular meal, and there are definitely some places in Greensboro that do it up right. Next time you're hungry for brunch, check out one of these restaurants.

1.) Green Valley Grill: The Green Valley Grill is the restaurant located right next to the luxurious O Henry Hotel in Greensboro. They are a fine dining restaurant with fairly high prices, but their brunch menu is affordable, not to mention long and varied. Appetizers, salads, and sandwiches are all on the brunch menu, as well as a number of delicious brunch entrees. The entrees cost around $12 to $15 a plate, and the soups, salads, and small plates are around $12 with a few exceptions (like the truffle fries, for $5). The service is great, the portions are hearty enough that you never leave hungry, and they do give free bread and refills for those with an insatiable appetite. And, as an added bonus, their menu changes frequently, so you can trust you're getting fresh, seasonal food. They have a large, nice indoor seating area as well as a cute patio for outdoor seating. They do get crowded, especially around the church rush (a little after noon), so making reservations or going early is not a bad idea.

2.) Lindley Park Filling Station: Lindley Park Filling Station is a small bar located in the Walker area of town. Their atmosphere is informal and cozy, and their brunch menu is fairly cheap, topping off at $12 for the most expensive plates, and $8 for the cheapest. Most of the brunch entrees come with your choice of hash browns or cheesy grits--I recommend the grits; they're delicious. The Filling Station also has a deal on mimosas on Sundays, which compliment the brunch entrees perfectly. Their brunch menu isn't too extensive, but you can also order lunch, which consists of soups, salads, and sandwiches for decent prices. You can sit either indoors or outdoors at the Filling Station, but be advised that they are a small bar that gets quite packed during Sunday brunch. If you don't like crowds, you may want to go somewhere else.

3.) MCoul's: MCoul's is an Irish pub with lots of outdoor space. They have a great roof patio as well as a downstairs patio, making them a great place to eat on a beautiful day. The times I have been there for brunch they have not been too crowded at all, which is a welcome change from the other two places mentioned above. They have a unique and fun brunch menu, serving up British inspired breakfasts, among other things, and give you plenty of food with lots of variety. Their entrees range from $7 to $13 a plate.

4.) Vintage 301: Vintage 301 is a classy restaurant and wine bar tucked away on Martin Luther King Jr Drive. Their Sunday brunch is the cheapest of all these places, ranging from $5 to $7 a plate. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of portion size, which is definitely smaller than the other restaurants, so don't come to Vintage 301 if you're starving and looking for a hearty meal. They do also have brunch sides if you'd like to bulk up your meal a bit. Their menu is rather small, but they have some unique items, such as a sweet omelet with apples and their delicious take on french toast. They have never been busy when I have been there for brunch and they usually have a live jazz band playing, so they're a great place to go for a relaxing and easygoing brunch.
