Great Christmas Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Your Pets

Spoil Your Cats and Dogs with These Great Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Jenn C.
Dogs and cats are family too. They celebrate Christmas with us, watching us unwrap Christmas gifts and even sometimes help us unwrap them. Pets have great curiousity , so put together a great Christmas stocking for your lovable pet this year to show just how much you love them.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Dogs

1. Dog Toys

Every dog has a favorite ball or plush toy . Manufacturers every year release dog toys in Christmas themes such as candy canes, reindeers, santas, in colors of red and green. I generally place these toys at the very top of the Christmas stocking so that their upper bodies are hanging out of the stocking. It is quite humorous to watch your dog get the plush toy out of their stocking and makes for a great photo opportunity. Be sure to cut off all tags, and plastic tags from the item before placing in the stocking.

2. Dog Treats

Another great stocking stuffer idea for pets is buying their favorite dog treats or even baking them yourself. You can buy beef bones, pig ears, peanut butter cookies, bacon treats, and dental bones. Manufacturers even release Christmas cookies for dogs each year that are nutritional for them and decorated in red and green. Just be sure to give your dog a treat when they see them so they don't try and tear the bag open themselves.

3. Designer Collar

You can buy a new designer collar for your dog, with sparkles, studs and more. You can have a personalized collar made for them with their name embroidered on it and your phone number in case they get lost. A lot of companies also offer matching leads to go with the collars.

4. Nutritional Vitamins and Supplements or General Care Items

Another great stocking stuffer idea is for general care items such as vitamins, supplements, brushes, toothbrushes, ear wipes, eyedrops or anything else that your pet uses regularly so that you can take great care of them. You can also include dog wipes for their paws, winter fleece boots, and a small bottle of new shampoo for your pampered pooch.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Cats

1. Cat Nip Toys

No Christmas is complete until your cat is rolling all over the floor, all whacked out playing with a catnip toy. Stores offer catnip toys in Christmas themes such as presents, stockings, reindeer, santas and more. Be sure to snap photos on Christmas day.

2. Cat Treats

Another great stocking stuffer idea is buying your cat's favorite treats in brands such as Pounce, or Friskies. They have them in all different flavors such as tuna, and fish. As a special treat for your cat try to buy a flavor of treats that you haven't given your cat before

3. General Care Items

This idea is for items that you probably already buy for your cat to take care of them such as vitamins, supplements, eyedrops, and brushes. Buy them a new blanket even though it won't fit in a stocking.

4. A photo of your cat

Buy a really nice cat themed photo frame and put your cat's photo in there. What cat wouldn't love a photo of themselves for Christmas?

Have a Merry Christmas
