Great Cycling Gloves for Men

Cassie B. Adonoson
Biking is a sport that can have little equipment, or a lot, depending on your preferences and budget. One of the more important pieces of equipment to have is biking gloves. Biking gloves can make your biking experience so much more pleasant, and keep your hands from getting sore. Not to mention if you happen to take a fall, there's an extra layer to protect your hands. Here is a look at the top five biking gloves for guys.

EMS Men's Full-Finger Bike Gloves

These gloves are normally around $25, but at some places right now you can get them for much cheaper, sometimes down to $7. Some of the benefits to these gloves are absorbent terry cloth on the thumb for longer climbs, perforated finger ventilation and knuckle protection. The gloves also have a Velcro closure and ergonomic fit. Check out the Easter Mountain Sports store online at www.ems.com.

Giro Bravo Men's Road Cycling Gloves

These gloves are perfect for long rides. You don't want your hands to get sore, especially if you are out on long rides that can take several hours. These gloves are $25 at Dicks Sporting Goods, and you can find them online at www.dickssportinggoods.com. Some of the features are tear off finger pockets, a three panel palm design with microvents and moisture wicking fabric.

Canari Men's Fusion Cycling Gloves

These are gloves you can use for either long rides or mountain biking, whatever your preferences. You can get them for about $10 at www.sunandski.com. They are less expensive then a lot of other kinds of gloves, but they still do the trick. One of the things I like is that it has a terry cloth brow wipe and contoured wrist closures, so you will definitely be comfortable.

Pearl Izumi Men's Cyclone Bike Gloves

These gloves are a bit more expensive, but they are worth it if you are going to be doing long rides. They have silicone screened palms, so gripping will be easier. They also have fabric designed specifically to keep water, wind and cold away so you can take them out in bad weather if you want. They are full fingered gloves, so you will be sure to be warm. They have them for $40 at www.ems.com.

Giro Zero Men's Road Cycling Gloves

The Giro Zero gloves are ideal for a rider who doesn't want too much with him when he goes out. These gloves have microvents that allow breathability but resists moisture at the same time. They run about $35. You can find them right now at www.buy.com.
