Great Date Spots in Utah Valley

3 Perfect Places to Take Your Date

Rae Harris
Are you looking for that perfect first date activity for you and that special someone? Here are three great date ideas for an evening out in Utah Valley.

Night at the Museum. A museum trip can make a great first date. It's fun, it's cultural, and it gives you a great chance to get to know someone. You'll have plenty of time to talk to your date as you walk around and see all that the museum has to offer. Utah Valley has some great museums to choose from. If you want to go artsy, try the Museum of Art at Brigham Young University or the Woodbury Art Museum at Utah Valley University. Another fun museum date night idea is to visit the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. This exciting museum has tons of hands-on and interactive dinosaur exhibits, as well as a working paleontology lab and a Mammoth Screen 3D Theatre. It has all you need to make a fun and memorable first date.

The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. Thanksgiving Point is also the home of another perfect place to create a great first date. If you'd like your date to have a little bit more of a romantic feel, you'll definitely love the Thanksgiving Point Gardens, which spread out over 55 acres of land and include 15 different themed gardens. Some of my favorites are the Rose Garden, Koi View Pier, Fragrance Garden, Secret Garden, Butterfly Garden, Italian Garden and the Waterfall Amphitheatre. If you visit in the Spring, you can also see the famous Tulip Festival. These gardens are breathtaking and provide the perfect backdrop for a romantic walk with your special date. You won't want to miss it!

A Trip to the Theatre. An evening at the theater also makes a great first date. It can be a great change from the usual dinner and a movie. Utah Valley has several great theatre options, including productions at BYU, UVU, Scera, Springville Playhouse and Hale Center Theatre Orem. Whether you're in the mood for a comedy or drama, romance or musical, you'll always find great entertainment at any of these theatres. It's a great place to take a date and share an evening of fun.

Fun picks! Although, I prefer to go with a friend and hit on the actors afterwards, haha. :)
