Great Easter Gifts for Kids

Julia Williams
Easter is a very enjoyable holiday for our children, and one they really look forward to. It might not be quite as much fun as Christmas, but certainly close. Children have a great time decorating and hunting for the Easter eggs and playing games outdoors in the warm spring sunshine. Most of all, there is the sheer delight of discovering the basket full of treats left by the Easter Bunny.

Easter gifts for kids can be traditional favorites or unique new surprises. They can be simple or elaborate. Or, they can be a combination of all of these! It's a delight to gather a collection of great Easter gifts, find the perfect basket and fill it to the brim with special things children love. Easter themed tin pails make a delightful alternative to the traditional Easter basket.

Every Easter basket should include a scrumptious chocolate bunny, or it just wouldn't seem like Easter. A handful of chocolate eggs is also an Easter favorite with kids. Beyond these classics, the possibilities for great Easter gifts are endless.

Two of my favorite places to find great gifts for children are the Magic Cabin and HearthSong catalogs. Many of their enchanting products aren't found in any other store, so you know your kids' Easter gifts will be unique. You can shop from the catalogs themselves, or use their easy-to-navigate websites.

Here are a few of my favorites Easter gifts for kids this year:

Bunny Paper Dolls: this family of four adorable rabbits comes with a wardrobe of clothes to dress and undress.

Nesting Easter Eggs: three beautifully illustrated papier-mache eggs you can fill with treats and treasures.

An Egg Engraving Kit elevates the pastime of decorating Easter eggs to a whole new level. Aspiring artists of all ages will love this Easter gift.

Chocolate Flower Pops: Pansies, Tulips, Zinnias and Sunflowers make a scrumptious Easter basket bouquet.

Stuffed bunnies: their collection includes cuddly velour cottontails, a handcrafted, huggable lass dressed in her Easter best, and exquisite Steiff bunnies in two sizes (one is really, really BIG!).

Chocolate dinosaur egg: inside this giant edible egg is an assortment of milk, dark and white chocolate baby dinosaurs; they're almost too cute to eat.

Peek-Inside Eggs Kit: children love to make these hollow sugar eggs and then create a tiny Easter scene inside. They're completely edible, too!

Dancing Eggs Game: a really fun (and funny) way for kids to burn off some of those Easter treats.

These delightfully unique gifts are sure to bring smiles to a child's face this Easter. And the best Easter gift for a child doesn't have to cost you a penny-it's the gift of love!
