Great Family Vacations

Looking for an idea for a great family vacation? Look no further. I have a lot of great ideas to keep your family going for years. Whether you like to camp, fish, ski, or swim, there are plenty of options for all families and all budgets. Do your research well and you will have a successful and exciting vacation.

Does your family like to ski? You could go to Reno, Nevada or maybe you would like to hit the big time slopes in Veil, Colorado. The best time to take your vacation would obviously be in the winter months. Things to consider when planning a skiing vacation is do you plan to rent skis? How much are the lift tickets and can you purchase a package deal for the whole family? Request a brochure from the ski lodges you are interested in to see if it would fit your family. Make sure if someone in your family requires lessons that they will be offering them when you will be there.

Would you rather swim on your vacation? If you only have a small budget you may want to check out your local beaches. But if you are looking to get out of town, perhaps a trip to the ocean may be better. There are a lot of resorts along all parts of the ocean. Things to consider: airfare prices, and resorts can get expensive. You will need to bring beach towels, sunscreen, swimming suits, umbrella, water toys, and perhaps a cooler for beverages or a picnic lunch.

Is your family a little older and looking for some night life? Maybe you should consider a vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you are not a huge gambler, it can be a really inexpensive vacation. There are plenty of free attractions for all ages, and there are arcades and amusements for kids. Plus, there are plenty of shows for your nightlife entertainment. Las Vegas offers a little for everyone.

Looking for more scenery and outdoor beauty? A trip to Duluth, Minnesota is the answer. Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Duluth is an exciting place for any family. You can walk along the pier, travel up Shore Drive and see Gooseberry Falls and several lighthouses. There are plenty of specialty shops to please the shoppers, and you can even go skiing in the winter months. I love to walk along the pier and watch all the big ships come in and under the lift bridge. It is truly a site to see.

Maybe you have a couple of little ones you will have to keep entertained on your vacation. A trip to Disneyworld or Disneyland would be the best option for you. It is true magic for the whole family. It is both educational and fun. No one will be bored there. It can get a little expensive, but they do offer package deals that are a lot more affordable. If traveling to Disneyworld, I would recommend going in late August and September. It is hurricane season so there isn't a lot of lines and it is one of their cheapest seasons.

Hopefully I have given you a few suggestions that may be helpful for your family. I recommend doing your research online and plan ahead of time, This will make your vacation a success. Speaking with your local travel agent will help you find the best deal and they will be more than happy to offer additional travel suggestions. Enjoy your vacation!
