If you're looking for fine dining, try the Restaurant Tallent. Located at 208 N. Walnut, the restaurant focuses on seasonal foods from local farmers. The menu features fresh produce and all natural meat, and Monday through Thursday boasts the five course market tasting menu. Prepared for the entire table, the meal is $60 per guest. If you're looking for a more laid back meal, try the bar menu. With items such as barbequed pork sandwiches, fried oysters and a seasonal soul food plate, you're sure to find something to tantalize your taste buds. The hours are Monday through Saturday 5pm-10pm. For a more casual atmosphere, visit Oliver Winery. Located at 8024 N. State Road 37, this is Indiana's oldest and largest winery. Enjoy their free wine tasting and take a look through their large variety of wine-related gifts. Aside from wine, the menu includes an assortment of gourmet picnic foods--perfect for a romantic snack on the terrace or by the pond. For a more interactive date, sign up for a free weekend production tour and discover the art of winemaking. One Friday a month during the summer, treat your ears to Tunes on the Terrace, an outdoor concert series featuring blues, rock and roll, and swing. If your idea of a good time includes music, head over to Player's Pub. Great food combined with music of local musicians makes it a prime location for a first date. After listening to music, visit the game room for a game of pool. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and the food is reasonably priced. The hours are 4pm-midnight Monday through Sunday. For an early date, catch them for brunch with live acoustic music from11am to 3pm every Sunday .
