Across from Grove street and a few blocks down from the hospital, Harvard Gardens proves to be as fluent and attentive, as it's fine reputation. When you first walk in, you are left with the essence of great sanitation, as the place is clean. There is absolutely no debris on the floors, the bar, nor on the tables. If you are wearing clunky shoes, expect them to clunk, as Harvard Gardens has a wooden floor. What I absolutely love is the seating options, as you have the opportunity to sit at the bar or you can sit at a table. The environment is amazingly beautiful with a touch of originality. Very casual, yet traditional, with a hint of current modernness. The lighting is simple, yet beautiful in this fine establishment and proves to be even better during the time of your visit. In the evenings, to set the mood, Harvard Gardens provides an array of exquisite lighting such as candles, that is destined to create ultimate chemistry towards any mood. The drink selection offers an array of original cocktails, but also allows you to create your own. If there is drink you want, the bartender will make it for you. The menu selection is universal and caters to a huge demographic of individuals with different eating habits. Whether you are a vegetarian or non-vegetarian, you are destined to love the selection offered at this great first date restaurant. The food is as incredible as expected. In fact, too good. The service was rather prompt and attentive, as they handle every inquiry with professionalism. Harvard Gardens is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM until 2 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM until 2 AM. If you get the opportunity to frequent this fine establishment, make sure you get there at an earlier hour during the evening. Brunch is also available. One of the most romantic places to dine is definitely the Enormous Room. Located in the heart of Cambridge, on Massachusetts avenue lies one of the most romantic, yet simple and fun establishments in the Boston area. Across from Pearl street, this down-to-earth, trendy restaurant provides you with just about everything you need to make your first date, a memorable one. The Enormous Room is connected with the Central Kitchen restaurant making it easy to wine and dine in the ultimate ambiance. The Central Kitchen is a nice place, as it is simple, yet down-to-earth and trendy, however; when you hit the upstairs, the Enormous Room proves why they are enormous. The place is so eclectic and interesting, it's original. In fact, if one can imagine DaVinci and Warhol taking over an incredibly large room with their art talent, this is exactly how it would be described. I don't know what was more impressive, the brick walls in collaboration to the dotted floors or the way the glass tables looked from the lighting. The menu selection is great and definitely different, in comparison to other establishments. The food at Central Kitchen is rather eclectic, however; most of the cooking is heavily inspired by Middle Eastern and Greek cuisine. In reality, the food is amazing. The drink selection is universal and filled with an array of new options around the clock, at great prices. The staff and service is just out of this world. They are not only efficient, but such great people, making your experience at the Enormous Room a memorable one. The Enormous Room also has a DJ that takes requests around the clock.
