Great Free Websites to Learn Spanish

Andrew Hamilton
Spanishdict.com is a great website to help you begin to learn Spanish or practice what you know. It is a great reference site where you can use a dictionary to look up Spanish or English words. There is also a translator to translate things between English and Spanish. The best part however are the free Spanish lessons it gives. You can join, for free, and watch lessons, ranging from 8-20 minutes long. Then after that you can practice what you learned with flashcards, quizes, and games. You can also use a microphone and practice speaking and it will tell you how well you pronunciation your words. This is a great learning website and since it is free you can't do any better.

Quia

Quia is another great website. It is full of Spanish games to help you practice everything. They have flashcards, matching, and concentration games to help you practice vocabulary and many common phrases. You can find games for everything from food, household objects, body parts, locations, school supplies, and sports. Just get on there and search for whatever it is you are interested in learning.

Spanish Power Points

Spanish Power Points has hundreds of power points reviewing everything from numbers and the alphabet to advanced grammar rules. These power points are great to teach students and to use yourself. They are interactive asking you questions to which you click to get the answer. They also have audio and include games in some. They have Latin and Spanish themes and also go over and teach Spanish culture, music, and history. This website is great to learn but even better to practice and perfect your Spanish.

Glencoe

Glencoe is a popular textbook manufacturer and just happens to have a line of Spanish information books. They also have a website that allows you to take practice tests, quizes, and even a few games. now of course it follows the book therefore making this a unhelpful book for people just starting however, if you already have a Spanish foundation this website can help you expand your knowledge. Also, if you are near fluent or advance this website will really help you practice and get to that fluency.
