For years, I have been involved with the online gaming phenomenon. Whether it be role-playing Games, downloadable, first-person-shooters, fun flash animations, or challenging puzzle games, I have compiled a list of the best gaming sites on the Web.

Online or down-loadable gaming sites:

Yahoo. com and MSN.com: Next time you're checking you e-mail, head on over to MSN or Yahoo!'s game site. Their game selection is vast, and they are nearly all available for online play.

Shockwave.com: For most of Shockwave's full down-loadable games, a paid membership is required. For a minimal fee, you have full access to their online archive of fantastic games. Their site is perfectly organized and search-able, so that you can easily find just the game you're looking for!

Great online game sites for kids:

Millsberry.com: Kids love Millsberry because they can create their dream home, decorate it, play games, and keep pets-- all on the computer. Parents love Millsberry because it is a free, safe, creative way to teach children how to handle money, as well as allowing them to play educational games that they enjoy!

Neopets.com: Neopets allows children (and adults!) to play games, make fake money, and keep adorable pets in their own choice of color! Neopets is a safe online community with great games and competitions!

Online role-playing games (RPGs):

Runescape.com: Create your own character and compete with other Runescape players in battles, minigames, and quests. Runescape is fun and free to play!

Zwinky.com: This down-loadable interface allows you to create your own character, wardrobe, and dorm room. You can either play games in order to earn Zbucks, or you can purchase them in set increments. You can interact with other Zwinky players in a whole different world-- Zwinktopia!

Disney Kingdom: Disney Kingdom, much like Zwinky, allows you to play games in order to earn money. Interact with Disney characters, exercise your character's skills, and buy items for your room! Disney Kingdom is not a down-loadable interface, however. You play this RPG straight from the website.

Great office game sites:

bored.com: bored.com offers much more than just simple games. Their archive of flash animation games is extensive, with a scrolling display of the most popular games, as well as a categorized, search-able collection of great games to play when you are ridiculously bored.

ebaumsworld.com: Ebaums World offers not just games but videos and fun pictures to look at when you are bored at work. The games on this site include flash versions of classic video games, the kitty cannon, and much more!
