Sanctuary

Sanctuary was formerly a bar called Communion and was considered a small place to hang out. Now they are a popular place that pulls in loads of people, especially since they sit across the street from San Antonio College. The bands are popular and well-known, such as the Misfits, and they can be seen any day. The bar sits along the strip of clubs that are mostly gay bars themselves, and they all have a darker aura surrounding. but still popular, Sanctuary certainly sees their fair share of business. Saint

Another Main Street club, Saint is popular among both gay and straight people. The bar is well-known for being a huge dance stop, and is always a stop for most bar-crawling party-goers on the strip. Saint itself does not live up to its name, as they can be loud and raunchy, and you can be sure to see many drag queens while you visit. Saint is located across from the San Antonio College, at 1430 N Main Street and can be called at 210-225-7330.

Planeta BAR-RIO

This ever-popular gay bar can be considered high-maintenance for some. Both men and women dress to the nines, and the music is widely varied. Listen to everything from Latin dance music to rock , techno, and house.Both DJ's and live music dominates the stage at Planeta BAR-RIO. The club offers many special nights, such as ladies and college nights, and Classical Saturday nights. VIP tables are available for reservations-which you may need, as the place is jammed when the biggest hits come to Planeta. Bonham Exchange bills themselves as one of the most prominent gay bars in the city. But the bar attracts people of all backgrounds, including the straight and the bi-curious. The bar offers a 5-in-1 dance bar, techno, hip-hop, house and more kinda music, and strong drinks. There are weekly themes to be enjoyed and delectable guests to be ogled.
