Encino has a nice selection of gyms, to fit most everyones needs. Here are a few in and around Encino, that cover many aspects of fitness.

Arena Fitness

Arena Fitness has a variety of fitness activities for its members. The trainers have a unique way of integrating strength, balance, core, flexibility and cardiovascular development, with personal training.

Integrated team training addresses every component needed for absolute health. posture, athleticism, strength, flexibility, balance and endurance are all important areas of fitness. Integrated training combines all of these areas, allowing individuals to work with multiple trainers instead of just a single trainer.

Semi-private training is also available if you do not like to train alone. Semi=private training is up to four people, you pick them or let Arena Fitness trainers put you with others who are suitable.

Strength training fitness classes are available as well, with 4 to 10 people per class. Classes include AAA, Band Circuit, Kickboxing Circuit, Core Circuit, and Extreme Integrated Training

Junior Gym

Junior Gym is a gymnastics school for children as young as 15 months to 8 and up. There are many classes available and children are places in a class depending on their age and level of skill.

Parent & Tot is a 45 minute class, for 15 month olds to 3 years old. Children will use full size equipment and have a very flexible lesson play. They pretty much do what they want.

Tumblers I is 45 minutes and for beginners 3 years old. This class is more for developmental readiness, being able to go ahead without the parent in the class. Here a structure lesson plan in followed.

Tumbler II is 55 minutes and for children between 3 and 4, who are intermediate. Children follow a more advanced lesson plan, while having fun working at a fast pace.

Cartwheel I is a 55 minute class for beginners age 4 to 6. Cartwheel II is also 55 minutes, however it is for intermediate children between ages 5 to 7. Cartwheels I and II, both work on different apparatus skills and tumbling.

Shooting Stars I is for beginners while Shooting Stars II is an intermediate class. Both are 55 minutes and for ages 8 and up. The classes are basically the same as Cartwheel I and II, but for the 8 and up age group.

Flyaways I and II are 90 minute and for ages 8 and up, beginner through advanced. Stretching and conditioning are more intense leading to strength and flexibility for advanced skills.

Giants in a two hour class and for advanced children, with no age requirements. It is for those who want to follow a very structured lesson plane and work hard for two hours.

All boy classes are for focusing on the skills, for those who are a part of the U.S. Junior Olympic Program.

In all of the available classes the students will work on enhancing self esteem, building strength, coordination, flexibility and goal setting. Other skills that will be added depending on class are trampoline, pommel horse, tumbling, rings, parallel bars and vault.

Bodies in Motion

Bodies in Motion is a 20,000 square foot gym with top of the line equipment. Burn calories in a fully enclosed boxing studio. Lift weights in the weight room, with state of the art equipment and free weights. Enjoy running on the treadmill, or hiking the stair master among other equipment in the cardio area. Quince your thirst in the beverage area or relax on the outdoor deck.

Bally Total Fitness in Encino, has all the amenities and support an individual needs to reach his or her fitness goals.

There are over 100 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including cross trainers, stair master, elliptical climbers and treadmills to name a few. resistance training equipment consists of 138 pieces, plus a vast selection of free weights.
