Great Halloween Costume Ideas for People Who Don't like or Want to Dress Up

So you love Halloween parties but hate dressing up in an over the top costume? Here are a bunch of unique costume ideas that require next to nothing in terms of time or effort.

It starts with costumes that require very little effort, continues on to costumes that require even less effort and finally costume ideas that require no effort at all.

Ideas That Require Very Little Effort:

-- Wear all black and with white masking tape put the outline of a body. Attach a couple of folded cards with numbers on them. You are now a Crime Scene.

-- Take a bunch of empty miniature cereal boxes, stick plastic knives in the sides, paint with red paint or nail polish to simulate blood. Pin the boxes all over yourself. Tell people you are a Cereal Killer

-- Paint your car or bicycle tires with black paint. Lay an old t-shirt front-down on the street and drive over it. Let them dry, put them on and go as Road Kill.

- Again wear all black or all white - Take two pieces of a plastic bridge from a child's play set and glue the pieces in separate places. Hot glue a couple of matchbox cars that are laying on their sides or upside down around and in between the bridge pieces, a few upturned plastic houses and you can go as an Earthquake.

-- This one is quick, easy and cheap. Again wear all black or all white and pin or hot glue misc. socks, underwear, fabric softener sheets all over. Throw two socks on your hands and a t-shirt or a pair of underwear on your head and go as Static Cling.

-- This one is a good one. Wear a light blue T-shirt, glue cotton in a patchy pattern and carry a squirt gun. When someone asks what you are tell them "Partly Cloudy With...(squirt them) A Chance of Showers." Then run!!!

-- Wear all black and hot glue or safety pin pieces of popcorn, opened candy wrappers, empty soda cup, ripped theater tickets, a popcorn box. Maybe even a shoe print dipped in powder or white paint. Now you are a Movie Theatre floor.

Ideas That Require Even Less Effort:

-- Wear regular clothes. Wear a hat with a leaf hanging down from the rim so that the leaf is in front of your face. When people ask what you are blow on the leaf and make them guess that you are a "Leaf Blower"

-- Dress in your normal clothes and stick a bunch of name tags on yourself with different names on them. Say that you are "Someone having an identity crisis".

-- Paint a shoe box black and attach it to your back. Tell them you are a Refrigerator Magnet

-- Get a poster board, make up a funny advertisement and paint it on. Hang it around your neck and go as a billboard.

-- Wear black clothes, black stocking cap, ski mask or Lone Ranger-style mask. Carry a bag with some stuffed cats peeking out. You are a cat burgler.

-- Cured Anorexic: For a big guy: Wear a white shirt. On the front, paint "I beat anorexia"

-- Pin on a bunch of mismatching socks onto a plan black sweat suit and wear a sign that either says "Sock Monster" or in Quotes "I am the guy/girl who steals these from your machine"

-- Attach Barbie dolls all over yourself. Tell people you are a chick magnet

Ideas That Require Absolutely No Effort

-- Dress normally, and carry a sign that says "Nudist on Strike.

-- Dress up as you normally do. If someone asks what you are, tell them you're a werewolf. If they ask why you have no hair or fangs, explain that it's not a full moon.
