This is one of my kid's favorite places to frequently visit. They are known for the enormous famous "Fort Ballocity" which is a three story, interactive fun foam ball playing dome. And if you enjoy basketball they have a new and unique way of mastering this sport called "The Jumpshot" which is shooting hoops on a trampoline. And if that's not enough how about the "Lazer Runner" where you will have a blast in a futuristic battle station. If you are an extreme adventurer there is an indoor "Extreme Rock Climbing" unit. You can challenge an opponent to the top or dual this mastery on your own. They even offer something for the little ones in their "Toddler Fun" area. They can climb, slide or just use their imagination. And most recently they have added a "Fluff and Stuff" station where your child can stuff a furry friend, name it as well and wish upon a wishing star. Finally, when all is done the arcade is a grand place to sit back and relax and just play games. This a great place for both children and adults as all of their activities allow the participation of us big kids which is always a plus in my mind. This is another one of our frequent flyers. If roller skating is your thing than this is the place you would want to be. You can rollerblade or roller-skate to the hottest top music. They also have the coolest inflatable bounce houses around which include 2 obstacle courses as well as a toddler bounce play area again to keep the little ones entertained as well. If you like to race than the go-karts may be more of your speed, they have a fantastic "Lemans Raceway" go-kart track to keep everyone busy. How about laser tag? They have the coolest outer spaced theme "Lasertron Arena" This is sure to give all a blast... If games is what you seek their arcade is the place to visit, there are a lot of interactive games to play in addition to all of their other activities. Explore
Now this is a place where the big kids can decide if they want to participate in the activities or if they want to sit back and relax enjoying a day in the spa. They offer a variety of activities to keep everyone busy which include all different events. There is a "Climbing Loft" which is a four story maze and has a 19 foot slide to accompany it. They offer stories and crafts in their "Theater" section. And for your little explorer they offer a "Pirate Ship and a Castle" to use their imagination and adventure on. "Kiddie City" is one of my daughters favorite here she can pretend to be running her own restaurant and has a full range of groceries to choose from. In their "Nature Center" the children can explore the undersea world via a 55 gallon tank while learning about all the different sea creatures. "Water World" is another big blast, here the children have interactive activities which include controlling the flow of water via valves and moving around boats. And we can't leave out the little tots they also have a "Tot Spot" for the under three, which also offers hands on activities appropriate to their tiny fit. If this all too much the adults can explore for themselves with a relaxing massage on the same premises. Explore offers reiki, spa treatments as well as tot watching. How cool is that? This is my kind of place. For further information you can check out their website at:

Glens Falls Family YMCA
This is a wonderful experience available to all ages and with numerous activities available. It is a community resource with many options available including sporting events/activities. They have gymnastic programs as well as a wonderful cheerleading curriculum. They offer swimming lessons, dance classes, arts and crafts. You name it they have just about everything on their agenda to suit any sex or age. And if a work out is all that you are looking for the gym is a must to visit. They have new state of the art equipment as well as indoor track. Day passes are available as well as their membership so if just visiting, this is a place to go and continue working out without losing a beat. My family has really taken advantage of many programs offered at the YMCA, and all very well worth it. For further information you can check out their website at:

Lake George Forum
If indoor ice skating is what you are looking for then the forum is definitely the place to be. The Lake George Forum is a newly constructed multi-purpose trade show, expo center and ice arena. This all new 50,000+ square foot facility features 30,000 square feet of open gathering space, an Olympic size ice arena, fitness center, meeting rooms, arcade, café and a large greeting area. They offer many different events which include open skating, open freestyle, open stick as well as open hockey. What we enjoy the most is the bumper cars on ice. If you have never tried it this is the place to visit and go "bumping" your way on ice. They are open all year round with a multitude of activities available. For further information you can check out their website at:

So if ever you happen to be in the Adirondack area, or thinking about visiting us someday I highly recommend any one of these indoor places to visit. They are not only for those rainy days, they are just as fun all the time. The "Lake George" region is wonderful family place to visit year round. So come and enjoy the fun.
