Great IPhone Apps for Mom and Dad

We all know it's not easy being a parent. And with how hectic our lives can be, it's sometimes hard to figure out what you can do with or for your child that will best benefit them as well as the parent. We don't want to lose connection with our children throughout our busy lives, so here are some apps that just might make life easier as a parent and probably even make time with your child more fun.

Signing Time ASL Dictionary Flash Cards - This wonderful little app can help teaching your baby how to talk seem more like a game than anything else. You can flick through 145 different flash cards and learn signs for everything from an apple to a zebra. This colorful and fun app will not only help your child to speak through recognition of body language, but will seem more like a game and play time with mom and dad. You can even design quizzes where you can keep track of your child's progress. And can be reminded with a buzz when the child needs to guess again.

Kidtivities - It's not always the easiest thing to do, keeping your child entertained. But, with this app, help is on the way. There are 40 activities you can scroll through that can be played just about anywhere you are and are specifically designed for children from the ages of 2 to 6 years of age. You can search for indoor or outdoor activities or simply shake it and see what random activity appears. There is a special option for those who live in San Francisco Bay Area called Mom Map. Weber's On the Grill - Are you the master of your backyard grill? Well if not, you soon will be with the help of this great little app. With this app you can choose from over 250 of Weber's famous recipes and 40 of their famous rubs, sauces, and marinades. You can tap your ingredients and they automatically turn into a list for your grocery shopping. The app even lets you tag your favorites. With this app you have access to Weber's grilling tips or you can watch instructional videos to help you master the art of grilling.

Grocery IQ - The ideal app for all those who just don't like writing that list every time you need to go shopping at the grocery store. All you do is type in the things you need and the app literally writes the grocery list for you. It gets it's information for search and a database that consists of 130,000 different items. You can also use your Favorites list and shopping history to quickly put together new lists for shopping. And you can even email the list to someone else to do the shopping for you.

    Dad or Mom is a new Iphone app that provides an Answer to an old Big Question: Does your son or daughter looks more like Dad or like Mom?, or which brother looks more like your grandfather?. It's very funny!.

    Wow, I think I'd love to download Kidtivities! It'd be perfect for my toddlers. I agree that keeping a child entertained is not the easiest job at all so this app will sure come in handy. By the way, for busy moms out there, I'd like to recommend this app which I really love. It's called Intuition (http://www.iconapps.com) and it's the best personal assistant. It has this easy navigation and cute interface and it takes care of my tasks, appointments, shopping lists, etc! Also, it reminds me to do my shopping when I'm near a grocery. You have nothing to lose because it's free!
