As funny as this may sound to you, there are some types of used shoes that actually make great items to sell on eBay, for a pretty decent price if you auction it right. These are just my experiences, and what I have learned from them, so please, read on for the details!

I recently sold a pair of used, only worn twice, PUMA Sneakers in great condition, minimal wear with no box. The winning bidder for this great item that sold on eBay paid a whopping $36.50. The best part about this auction, was that I originally paid $12.00 for these shoes, and they were of no use for me anymore because they were really just an impulse buy on my part during the summer sale at Foot Locker. I've actually sold a couple of pair of used sneakers, some pairs with more wear than others, but all my sneakers I have sold had to be of a common name brand, such as NIKE, PUMA or JORDAN. I make sure to be honest in all of my auctions, and if the shoes have some decent damage done, I'll list it with an extremely clear picture so that eBayers can see that I am an honest seller.

Another great seller on eBay when it comes to shoes - cleats or spikes. Any sport shoe sells well on eBay, at least in my experiences because of the price they are sold for at retail sporting good stores. They are quite expensive, and when you have three kids that are in football, baseball and soccer, trust me, that mother will be right on eBay while her childs foot is still growing. These shoes should also be of name brand, and photographed well. Name brand sometimes isn't that important with these shoes, because they are really universal. Make sure to put "sports" and the size in the title to get buyers to look!

Tap shoes, dance shoes, ballerina shoes. These sell well. These shoes also come at a steep price, but they are such great sellers on eBay, and not a lot of people even think to pick these up at yard sales or thrift stores to add to their eBay selling collection! Little girls and boys feet are constantly growing, and buying these shoes two to three times a year can get costly. So, once again - the savvy mother will turn to eBay to get a great deal on a great item! Make sure to list what type of shoe you are listing in your title, and also take very clear and precise pictures of the bottom of the shoes!

Ice skates. Another popular sporting shoe sold at hefty prices in the stores, when a child's foot grows, the mother lists it on eBay, and another mother will bid! It's really just a circle if you think about it, but ice skates also are a great item to sell on the wonderful eBay auction website! Make sure to charge a decent shipping price since these type of shoes, well - ice skates are heavy in weight!
