Great Jobs for Travel Lovers

Lauren Vork
While many people love to travel, there are a select few who love traveling so much that they can turn it into a full-time job. Others may seek a job that simply involves a good deal of travel as a matter of course. Whichever category you fall into, it's possible to build or seek a career that can keep you away from home and seeing the world if you have the proper ambition and are aware of how travel can benefit your field of expertise.

English Teacher

Even if you don't have a degree in teaching, there's a high enough demand for English teachers abroad that many companies exist willing to give teaching opportunities to native English speakers interested in teaching and possessing a certain level of education (usually a Bachelor's degree).

Cruise Ship Staff

Cruise ships staff members get to visit every vacation location that cruise guests get to. This is especially true of cruise ship entertainment staff who often have little to do between performances and are free to enjoy the benefits of the cruise.

Flight Attendant

Make no mistake; working as a flight attendant is hard work, and a faced-pace, often high-stress job. However, the chances for travel are some of the best, with all basic expenses paid. Flight attendants may not have much time to linger in each new location they visit, but they do have the chance to travel to a wide variety of locations. As a plus, working as a flight attendant usually includes flight discounts as part of employee compensation, making it easier to afford better vacations. http://www.cabincrewjobs.com/whats-it-like.html

Peace Corps

Peace Corps terms of service, by their nature, are a good fit for those interested in world travel because they are always stations in foreign countries. Peace Corps travel is different from tourist travel and will usually give you intimate knowledge of parts of the world most casual travelers will never come to know.

Researcher

Field researchers in various areas of academia are often called upon to do research that involves a great deal of traveling. This includes things like biology or zoological research in the area of science, field research at archeological sites or libraries for historians, or even cultural research for musicologists. While these fields are highly specialized and start with gaining an expert knowledge of a particular subject, if you are already inclined in an academic area, you may find that there is a related position for you that can also serve your love of travel.

Travel Writer

Working as a travel writer is a job where your professional experience will be the closest to the experiences of a recreational traveler because such writers must be experts on those types of experiences. Expenses-paid travel writing isn't an easy gig to get, but if your writing is unique enough and has enough character to be in high demand, you may be able to live the dream of getting paid for recreational experiences.
