Holidays are fastly approaching us, the sun is setting earlier, and the cold weather is now moving in. Our kids are having a hard time keeping themselves entertained while we complete tasks that we need to get done before the holidays hit us dead in the face. I have some great links to Kwanzaa coloring pages and activities you can print out for your children that will keep them entertained all holiday long.

At this site you will find three great Kwanzaa puzzles you can print out for your children. The first one is a Kwanzaa crossword puzzle. Test your child's knowledge on how well he or she knows her religious holiday. The second one is a Kwanzaa word search. This word search uses all the traditional Kwanzaa words in it. And, the last one is a Kwanzaa word search again, however the words that your child will be searching for are the principles of Kwanzaa!

With this activity sheet, your child can cut out the Kinara and the candles separately, color each one of them and tape or glue the candles onto the Kinara for each day of Kwanzaa. This is a great activity for your child before Kwanzaa to get them ready and to understand the meaning of why the candles are placed in the Kinara for each day.

This Kwanzaa coloring page has to be one of my favorites. It really has great details with a wood Kinara and the food on a blanket around the Kinara. Your child will really enjoy coloring this picture as you tell them the history of Kwanzaa.

At this site you will find seven different coloring pages. Each page depicts a person holding a sign with a Kwanzaa word and the English version under the word. Also it has the meaning of the word below it. Print out each page, have your child color them and then use a stapler to make a Kwanzaa book for your child so he or she can refer to it each night you are lighting a new candle. This will really expand their knowledge on Kwanzaa.

Last but certainly not the least, this Kwanzaa printable is a great way to have children really learn the meaning of Kwanzaa. A short, non-fiction passage is placed on this printable that tells the meaning of Kwanzaa. Below that passage there are certain words that have specific meaning to Kwanzaa, the main symbols of Kwanzaa. Each word is bolded with the definition beside it. Not only will this printable be a great lesson tool for your child, it is also a coloring page as well with all the symbols of Kwanzaa on the page for them to color!
