Halloween is coming up fast in 2010 and if you are a college student you may need a Halloween costume for that last minute party down at the quad. Here are some suggestions and ideas for a cool 2010 last minute Halloween outfit for university students.

Halloween is not just a time for kids any more. It is a time for great fun and rejoicing by students of all ages and college students are no exceptions. Yes, college students are notoriously impoverished so here are some ideas for last minute Halloween costumes that are cheap and easy on the wallet and some that are for those who like do-it-yourself costumes that don't cost a dime.

Andy the Soon-To-Be College Student from "Toy Story 3"

If you watched "Toy Story 3" this year, you probably cried a bit but you certainly noticed the character of Andy, the soon-to-be college student who grew up with his toys and is about to outgrow them. The character of Andy is a great last-minute Halloween costume idea in 2010 because it comes from what is possibly the best movie of 2010. Plus, both male and female college students can dress up as Andy. Just take a look at this photo of the Andy character at IMDb.com and come your hair like Andy's hair. Then go off and find a cool blue t-shirt like the one he wears in the movie. Lastly, make sure to carry around some of his toys, like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, Rex or Hamm, or other toys of your liking.

Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France

Nearly everyone at the university level studies Napoleon at some time, wither in history class, or government, or the arts. You too can look like Napoleon for that last minute 2010 college Halloween party. For starters, make sure you have black hair and slick it back so it goes to both sides of your head and a little toward the middle. Next, find some white pants and a white vest, and even an old black suit that you can cut up. Finally, look for some ribbons or print some from online so you can pin them to your chest. Lastly, blurt out expressions like "Vive La France" every once in a while. If you have a few days to prepare, consider buying a Napoleon hat from Amazon.com.

Crazy Drunk Frat Guy like in "Animal House"

Are you a crazy drunk frat guy? Well, that is the best last minute Halloween costume in the world for college students. You literally do not have to do anything or buy anything for this Halloween costume. If you are new to this costume, you basically need some messed-up hair, some beer cans (preferably empty if you are in public), a wrinkled shirt, and a party attitude. You can also throw in some fun "Animal House" quotes from this site. Or just yell "party time" or "kegger" wherever you go. Or even yell out "Toga! Toga!"

Mona Lisa costume for Female College Students

Let us not forget the ladies. If you are really into art and history, you may be thinking about dressing up as the most famous woman in art history, that being the Mona Lisa. You may not come close to the work of art by Leonardo da Vinci but you can certainly try. Head on over to ibiblio.org for a great image of the Mona Lisa. Then find some old dark clothes in your closet that you can manipulate to mimic the clothes she wears in the painting. Don't forget to get the hair right, and also the smile.

These are just a few ideas for some last minute Halloween costumes and outfits for university students in 2010. Be careful out there and always have a designated driver. Happy Halloween in 2010.
