Great Last-Minute Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for Your Wife:

Magazine Subscription - A magazine subscription is a great last-minute Valentine's Day gift idea for your wife. You can zip over to any bookstore or a large retail store like Target or Walmart, buy a magazine, and then remove the subscription card from inside the magazine. When she opens her gift you can tell her you got her a subscription to the magazine so that she can enjoy it all year. No time to drive to the store? No problem. Simply go to the website of the magazine you wish to purchase and order it. Most magazine websites allow you to send an electronic gift message - you can send it to your email address and then forward it to her on Valentine's Day. Not sure what magazine to get? Check out Amazon.com's magazine subscriptions - you'll find everything from People to Newsweek to Good Housekeeping, and there's even a section called "Women's Interest" for more ideas.

Flowers and chocolate - Most women love flowers and chocolates, which make them a great last-minute Valentine's Day gift idea. Flowers and chocolates (or champagne if she enjoys a bit of bubbly) are easy to get and yet very thoughtful. Nowadays most supermarkets and large retail stores carry an excellent selection of chocolates and fresh flowers. The supermarkets in my area set up large Valentine's Day displays which make it easy for you to get the perfect gift. If your budget will allow, find a florist that is still open (many florist extend their hours for Valentine's Day) and pick up a bouquet. If you want to go one step better - tell the florist you would like to arrange a flower delivery once a month, every month, for the next year! My husband gave me "flowers for a year" one year and I still consider it one of the most romantic gifts he has ever given me.

Movie Tickets - Does your wife enjoy going to the movies? Most movie theaters sell gift cards that are good for movie tickets, as well as for the snack bar. You can drive to your nearest theater to pick up the gift card or you can try your local supermarket - my local supermarket carries gift cards for AMC Theaters. No time to drive somewhere? You can order a gift card from a theater website. On the AMC website you can order a gift card and then send a gift message to your wife's mobile phone.

Bath Products - Women usually enjoy the chance to have a relaxing bath. Most supermarkets now carry a good variety of bath products. If you have the time, try to locate a supermarket that specializes in organic foods, as they will likely have a good assortment of more unusual bath products. Want to make it more personal? Create some "bath coupons" so that your wife can give you a "bath coupon" when she needs to escape to the bath - and you take over cleaning the dishes, watching the kids, whatever needs to be done. Trust me, she will love being able to escape to the bath, knowing you are handling whatever she needs to take a break from!!

Spa Treatment - If your budget will allow it, a gift certificate for a spa treatment is a great last-minute Valentine's Day gift idea for your wife. If you don't have time to visit a spa near you, you can purchase a gift certificate from a spa website such as SpaFinder.com. At SpaFinder.com you can purchase a gift certificate good at over 5,000 spas nationwide. If this is really last minute, you can choose to send an eCard at no additional charge. Getting a facial or a massage is a truly luxurious experience and it is a lovely thing to do for your wife for Valentine's Day.

I hope that my list of great last-minute Valentine's Day gift ideas for your wife will help you to choose the perfect gift.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love the idea of the magazine subscription because it is a gift that keeps on giving all year. And, most of us ladies love catching up on the latest beauty news or celebrity gossip. Of course, flowers for a year would be AWESOME too! Great ideas, Yvette!

You can't go wrong with flowers and chocolate, but I really like the spa idea or the "bath coupons".
