GREAT NIGHTS SLEEP

Kathryn Neff Perry
Several years ago, I fell down the stairs and hurt my back, so back pain is not uncommon for me.
Sometimes during the night my back will ache because I have been in one position too long. Usually, because my little dog, KoKo has fallen asleep beside me and I don't want to wake him. Once I can move around and get comfortable again I normally fall back to sleep.
The other night my back started to hurt in a different place. It was an unusual pressure type of pain. The pain kept waking me all night long. At one point I thought maybe I should get up and sit in my rocker for a while. The pain seemed to go away when I woke up and moved. By dawn's early light I finally realized what was causing my "pain". A few weeks ago our portable television stopped working. So we moved a console television into our bedroom. My husband can't see the TV when he's on his side of the bed. So several nights he lays at the food of the bed.
The night that I was awakened by pain all night was one of the nights he had fallen asleep at the foot of the bed-with his feet firmly planted on my back.
