Great Non-Alcoholic Drinks for Your New Years Eve Party

Holiday parties can be quite stressful and finding the perfect drink for the designated driver, or someone who chooses not to consume alcohol can be a little difficult at times. However, there is help available for those that need a helping hand.

For a quick, cool minty drink that's perfect for everyone around you should try a

Easy Virgin Mojito

You need :

six fresh mint leaves

ice cubes

one 16 oz. Bottle of Lemonade (crystal light is best)

½ cup of lemon lime soda (7-up, sprite)

two drops of rum extract

How to prepare:

Place two mint leaves in a tall glass, use the back of a spoon crush the mint to release its flavor. Fill glass with ice cubes. Combine all remaining ingredients in plastic or glass pitcher. Pour evenly into glasses

The preparation time is ten minutes and makes approximately 3 servings

For a fun way to display this drink is to tie a colorful or New Years ribbon around the cup in a small bow or you can get the curling ribbon and make festive curly q's.

Virgin Pomegranate Cosmopolitan

You Need:

1 tub Cherry Pomegranate flavor mix (Crystal light is best)

4 cups water

1 club soda

1 cup cranberry juice cocktail

1/4 cup each lime and orange juice

Ice cubes

How to prepare:

Stir water and drink mix in a picture until dissolved, add remaining ingredients, add ice to wine glasses, then strain over ice.

This drink can be prepared in five minutes and makes 8- 3/4 cup servings.

For a fun way to serve or display this drink you can add a few pomegranate seeds to the bottom of the glass, or you can get festive decorations that are inexpensive to add to the stem of your wine glass.

If you live in an area where its cold or snowy on New Years Eve you can try these great warm drinks for all your party guests to keep them nice and toasty inside.

Hot Buttered Apple Juice

You need:

2 sticks of cinnamon

6 whole cloves

2 teaspoons of sugar

4 strips lemon rind (approx. 1 inch)

2 tsp butter

1 liter apple juice (boiling)

ground nutmeg

How to prepare:

Put ½ stick cinnamon, 2 cloves, ½ teaspoon sugar, 1 strip of lemon rind and ½ teaspoon butter in each mug. Add a little hot apple juice to each, stir and blend well. Let steep for 1 minute. Fill with remaining apple juice. Finish by sprinkling with nutmeg.

Place mugs on a serving tray covered with a lace style paper doily, arrange red and yellow apple slices sprinkled with nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar.

Hot Peach Cobbler

11/2 oz. Of Non-alcoholic Peach Schnapps

4 oz Hot Apple Cider

Cinnamon Sticks

How to Prepare:

Combine first two ingredients in mug, then stir with cinnamon stick.

Serve on tray with your favorite biscotti or scones.

Fun ways to display this drink is to place seasonal foliage around your tray.
