Great Pizza for a Little Guy

I know there are thousands of pizza places across the nation especially the large chains. I have found the difference though between a pizza company working of quantity and a pizzeria working from good ol quality. While each neighborhood across the nation may have a particular place where the pizza is great I believe my taste buds have found mine. LA Gourmet is a small pizzeria with 3 locations in Lexington, Kentucky and I have eaten at 2 out of the 3 and I have to say...WOW!. I have eaten pizza all my teen and adult life at least 2 or 3 times a month. One evening I was craving something other than the big names, just something different. I stumbled across the LA Gourmet on East New Circle Rd and decided to stop in and see what they had. When I first entered the store the smell captured my nose like two fingers leading me around. I look the menu over and the was one that caught my I. Being the home of The University of Kentucky Wildcats I spotted a pizza pie named (The Wildcat). So being single and not really wanting to cook for the weekend I ordered a large and figured I had Saturday and Sunday's meals wrapped up.

I returned home with the pizza and opened the box and again the smell of home made pizza came pouring from the box. I took my first bite and it was the greatest first taste of toppings you could ask for. Just the right amount of sauce with the cheese and ham and chicken with onions, "as I said I'm single". This combination cooked a top a perfect crust had me hooked. The grand finale is the LA Dipping Sauce which has a taste all of it's own with a hint of ranch with sour cream maybe and almost a Tezaki taste. After this order these folks had me hooked for pizza night. If your ever in Lexington,Ky wether visiting or watching the Cat's play ball stop by this smallest of small pizza places and get ready for a great meal. Now for the best part, they are priced right and offer a great selection of sides. Give them a try and I don't think you will walk away dissapointed.
