Acadia National Park Maine
The Blackwoods Campground located inside of Acadia National Park is an amazing place to visit not jut during the Fall months, but also during the summer time. There are plenty of trails to travel along, and also plenty of fresh seafood to taste which is what draws many to this location. The Blackwood's campground is open year round, but from December 1st to March 31st, they only allow walk in camping. So you will not be able to drive your car directly up to your camp site during this time. Shenandoah National Park
At this national park you will find a nice variety of campgrounds to choose from. Which one you choose really does depend on your personal preferences. Many of these campgrounds are open up until November. This way you and your family will be able to really enjoy the Fall foliage. To see the variety of campgrounds to camp out you can click here. Be sure to take the time and do your research and read the reviews on each campsite. It may be worth it to check and see when they have their free days during the course of the year. On certain select days they will not charge a fee to enter the park or camp there so be sure to check.
