Linda Riggs
St. Louis is a city that offers an enormous variety of entertainment options. If you are looking for the perfect place to go for a first date, you can not go wrong in this city. It doesn't even matter what time of the day or evening you are going out. You will have no problem finding affordable fun and amazing places to go.

There are a few things to consider when you're deciding on where to go for a first date. Most important would be to choose a time of day or evening and place to go where you will both feel comfortable together. Only you can decide if your date would be happier going out during the day or evening. Once you make that decision, consider trying one of these places as your date destination.

Jefferson National Expansion Memorial - The Gateway Arch

There is so much more to this destination than meets the eye at first glance. The Arch is six hundred and thirty feet high. For just a very small fee you can go inside and up to the very top. There are windows in the top that allow you to see incredible views of St. Louis and also East across the Mississippi River. There is a very unique museum under the Arch where you can walk about and take in some of the sights of early St. Louis. The Arch is a perfect place to go on a first date because it allows you to experience something special and thrilling together and also allows you to stroll casually and get to know each other. It is located in the center of the downtown riverfront area. There are plenty of places to go for a bite to eat on The Landing only a short stroll from the Arch. There is more than ample parking available. Consider this for an early daytime first date. Click here for more information on prices and schedules.

The St. Louis Zoo

St. Louis has a Zoo that would make any city proud. It is also free for all ages. It is located in Forest Park in the center of the city. The Zoo is a fantastic place to go on a first date because there are so many fun things to see while strolling through the spacious grounds. There is a Zoo train that will take you all around the zoo for a very small fee. If you want to get out and enjoy the day but don't want to walk too much, the train is a great option. There is a cafeteria on the premises that offers a nice variety of inexpensive foods. Another great option would be to take a short walk from the Zoo to the Forest Park Lake House for a more intimate lunch or dinner. Forest Park is one of the largest inner city parks in the United States. There are trails and museums that you could walk to from the Zoo. Consider this destination for a first date if you are planning on an afternoon date. There is something for everyone at the St. Louis Zoo. Click here for more information on this date destination.

Courtesy Diner - St. Louis

A first date should never be too fancy or too expensive. Courtesy Diner is a St. Louis tradition. They serve the best burgers and fries in the city. There is a laid back atmosphere in this place that just can not be beat. The jukebox is filled with songs from the last fifty years that are sure to put a smile on every face. It is amazing how this small diner manages to pack people in from all over. You never know who you might see in this place. Musicians have filmed music videos at Courtesy. Hollywood stars are known to frequent the place when they are in town. No matter what time of day or night you go to Courtesy, you are sure to find great food at a great price. You are also sure to find great people and great music. It is definitely the perfect place to go for a first date. You can find out more about prices and location by clicking here.

All of these destinations offer a unique experience for a first date. I chose these places for their wonderful atmosphere and friendly feel. They are all very affordable and easy to find. They are also all staple St. Louis attractions that anyone visiting the city should see.

No matter where you choose to go in St. Louis, you are almost sure to find something unique and special. It is just that type of city. I do hope you try one of the places that I have mentioned. They are all wonderful places that I have visited many times. Remember to be yourself and enjoy every first date. If you are smiling and having fun, chances are good that your date will be smiling too.
