Great Places for a Mother's Day Brunch in Brooklyn, New York

Mother's day is coming up and why not treat your mom to a day off from cooking. All mom's love going out to a delicious brunch. Brooklyn New York is a great place to take your mom to a wonderful and very special Mother's day brunch. New York is known for all its wonderful and unique restaurants, and their selections for Mother's day brunch is no exception. Here are my favorite picks for the best Mother's day brunch's in Brooklyn:

Tavern On The Green Whether you live in New York or are just visiting, Tavern on the Green is a must do. They have an excellent Mother's day brunch, and what a perfect time to try out one of New Yorks most well known restaurants. They have a delicious Brioche French toast, and they also have very traditional brunch items, and a nice selection of seafood. Tavern on the Greens brunch is not a buffet, so the cost greatly depends on what you order but expect to pay at least $25 per person.

Nouvelle This is a french Asian fusion restaurant, and it is an excellent trendy choice for a Mother's day brunch. This is an excellent option for a very unique brunch experience. They offer many different choices from sushi and sashami to many Thai and french entrees. Be sure to make reservations and expect to pay at least $30 dollars per person.

Agave This restaurant offers a southwestern brunch. If your mom likes spicy or southwestern food this is the perfect place to take her for Mother's day brunch. They have very southwestern menu options such as quesdillia's and burritos, they also offer more traditional breakfast items like blueberry pancakes. While Agave doesn't offer a buffet brunch their menu options are very reasonably priced around $10-15 per person.

Waldorf Astoria This is a classic New York restaurant. This is an excellent place to take your mother to a very classy, and elegant Mother's day brunch. This is a brunch that your mom will never forget. At the Peacock Alley in the main lobby they have a very extravagant brunch with over 12 themed food displays and over 100 options. You must call to make reservations. They also don't list a price for their mothers day brunch but expect it to be pricey between $75-$90.

Cafe Luluc This is a great traditional option for Mother's day brunch that is not too expensive. If you want an excellent no frills brunch this is perfect for you. While this is not as well known as some of the other places that are offering Mother's day brunches this one is an excellent option. Cafe Luluc is located on Smith Street, near everything. They offer all the typical eggs dishes along with sandwiches, soups and salads. While reservations are not normally required I would make sure to make reservations for Mother's day brunch. You can go here and easily spend less then $10 per person.

Cafe Shane They are located Washington between St. John's and Sterling. They are a very comfortable restaurant, and aren't pretentious. They offer lots of different selections of omelets and frittas. They are also very reasonably priced at under $10 per person. They haven't stated if they are having a special brunch for Mother's day or if they will just have their standard fare, either way you know you will get a great meal.

Moutard- This place has traditional french brunch. They have excellent genuine croque monsieur's and croque Madames. They staff are very friendly and courteous. Expect to pay around $10- $20 per person depending on what you order. They are very crowded on Mother's day, be sure to call (718) 623-3600 for reservations.
