Great Places to Shop for Camera Tripod Online

I Recommend These Online Stores when it Comes to Shopping for Camera Tripods

Marie Puddu
After a skiing trip in Colorado, my camera tripod is officially destroyed. No, it has nothing to do with me wiping out on a green trail. You know how at the trunk of the car you just pile things up when skiing hours are over and it's time to go home? And for all I care, all the screws have loosened up and all that's left are the legs. Well, I guess it's time for a new purchase.

I always think about what's on the camera tripod online stores first before I waste gas and drive out to any electronics store in town. Aside from Amazon.com, I've checked out a few stores here for a particularly awesome deal.

Photo Etc Online

So I'm not a professional photographer but that doesn't mean I shouldn't get a good tripod. If you look closely at Photo Etc Online, you can snag a good deal on their clearance. For example, today they have a OSN Tripod Starter Kit on sale from $49.99 to $19.99. What a giveaway! The one thing I didn't like when browsing the products here is that it took forever for product photos to load. They have a lot of monopods on discount too. Since the Photo Etc Online is all about camera accessories, you can find a lot of stuff here such as camera mounting plates, lighting and studio equipment, and the like. You'll be surprised they have a few things to sell for scrapbookers also. Photo Etc Online ships for free on orders over $50.

Optics Planet

It's nice to know that before you buy a product at Optics Planet, you can pretty much figure out whether it's perfect for you or not. They have a section devoted entirely to product reviews. I'm telling you, they have A LOT more to sell than elsewhere when it comes to vision equipment. They have telescopes, rifle scopes, night vision equipment and even prescription glasses. But since I'm looking for a camera tripod, I'm faced with tremendous choices based by brand. Which is best? It's funny how their price range can be anything from $5 to $735! I think I'll stick with the price I can handle.

PC World

I didn't know PC World actually sells camera tripods until I checked in the Photography section. They let you compare prices with other brands here. Unlike camera specialty stores, they don't have very many selections, although they do have a few products in the photography catalog that you may not find elsewhere. You can basically filter the camera tripod that fits your budget by clicking the Price Range link. If you look more closely, you will get an idea of what you're buying based on reviews, but I cannot find the Specs despite the existing link. Weird??

Benro.com

Benro.com is the ultimate place for professionals looking for a high end tripod that will probably last forever. Everything you need to know about a particular tripod is here: Features, Specs, Items included, Optional heads, and accessories. Benro is very detailed about their tripods. Unfortunately, you don't know how much they're gonna cost you unless you contact the dealer that is nearest to your location. . You can, of course, do a comparison check online when you get a chance. Google "Benro Tripod" if you will.

Newegg.com

I have visited Newegg.com several times and know that they have a lot in their selection to choose from. As for camera tripods, the catalog is pretty decent. They have the photo, the specs, the reviews, the price, and the shipping cost. A great way to begin is to click on my price range on the left side of the screen. Also, does it matter what brand? That's something you gotta figure out. Since they're mainly selling different brands, all you can do is do a comparison check on the website itself. It takes a little time, but you'll find what you need. And so will I.

I look forward to my next skiing trip having replaced my old demolished camera tripod with a new one. I also look forward to not wiping out in the green anymore. If you saw the pictures, it's hilarious.
