Great Reasons to Marry in Las Vegas

Tying the Knot in the City of Sin

Amanda Baker
We always hear the worst about Las Vegas weddings. They're cheap and trashy and there are a million other reasons why a couple should never want to get married in Vegas. However, each year, more than 150,000 couples from all over the world choose to make the trip to Las Vegas to tie the knot. Marrying in Las Vegas is actually a trendy thing to do and there are actually several good reasons why it's a great idea.

First of all, a Las Vegas wedding is going to save you money. There are services available to match just about any budget. You have a standard, quick and easy ceremony for as little as $100. However, you can have a more stylish wedding with all the sparkle of Vegas for up to a few thousand dollars. But with the rising costs of traditional weddings, you're still saving a bundle - and you don't have to lock in a church, minister or reception hall months (sometimes even a year) in advance. It's best to have a reservation, but depending on how busy a chapel is, you can walk in without a reservation! No matter what you decide, most full-service wedding chapels and hotels with wedding chapels usually offer a wedding coordinator who will attend to your wedding arrangements right down to the very last detail. Any preparation for your ceremony can be handled by phone or even online - talk about quick and easy wedding planning!

The State of Nevada has very laid-back marriage laws, which makes it one of the easiest places in the world to obtain a marriage license and to get married. There are no blood tests required and no waiting period. A quick trip to the courthouse, show some ID, lay out the fee, and you're on your way to wedded bliss.

If you're choosing to exhange your vows in Vegas, you're not limited to the stereotypical quick, unfashionable affair. It can be as stylish or as basic as you like. You may want a very simple, get-to-the-point-already service, or you may want something a little more romantic. Or you may want Elvis himself to pronounce you as a married couple. Whatever your tastes, Las Vegas has something for you.

Not surprisingly enough, Las Vegas wedding are extremely popular with couples that have been married before - either to themselves or one another. If you've already had that big, extravagant wedding once before, you may take great pleasure in a getaway with a comfortable, stress-free wedding.

One of the greatest things about a Las Vegas wedding party is that the honeymoon begins immediately after you say "I do!" There's no worry about the cost of a reception - there is no reception! And if you did, by chance, bring along a wedding party, you don't have to worry about keeping them entertained. There's so much to do in Vegas, they'll never get bored.

If you're looking for a stress-free, cheaper wedding, with plenty of flexibility and tons of fun, getting married in Las Vegas could be a good gamble.

you know, for some, getting married is not a big deal. a lot of them are now nothing more than business agreements for whatever reason, in which both partners set the rules and agree to divorce within a certain period. at times, a spouse is even paid... so if you are not serious about staying together, do get married in Vegas; quick, easy and inexpensive, but do remember to put everything in writing.
