Mexico is a diverse land for travelers with various interests and cultures. Many travel to Mexico only to visit it's world-famous beaches and resorts. Others want to see ancient Aztec and Maya ruins, while others are interested in the diverse and varied cultures in the country.

Most famous of resort cities is Acapulco, often referred to as the Riviera of Mexico, where one can find everything from world class hotels and resorts to deep sea fishing, kayaking, and more. Mazatlan is another popular destination in Mexico, which frequently hosts international fishing tournaments and famous carnivals.

Famous beaches to visit in Mexico include Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and most famous of all: Los Cabos.

Magdalena Bay is a special reserve for the protection of the pacific gray whale. The whales migrate here, from their feeding grounds North of Alaska to court, breed, give birth and simply frolic in the warm, calm waters of Baja's Pacific bays. Daily excursions into the bay provide close up encounters of the magnificent and friendly gray whale.

The offerings of arts and drama on a world-class scale are also found in Mexico. With many museums, opera houses, and more to offer, you can't go wrong. Mexico is especially famous in this regard for its museums, the most celebrated of which are in Chapultepec Park, which includes the National Museum of Anthropology. Family travelers to Mexico City will also want to see the zoo and the Papalote, a children's interactive museum.

A trip to Mexico that doesn't include the Basilica de Guadalupe, where the Virgin Mother appeared in 1531, is not complete. The religious traveler will also want to see the Metropolitan Cathedral, which features a baroque neoclassical facade and is one of the world's most wonderous architectural art forms.

The Chapultepec Castle, which once served as the Presidential palace and residence, is another architectural masterpiece to be seen. It features murals by the famous Mexican painter Juan O' Gorman and the Memorial to Infant Heroes.

A tree-lined boulevard called Paseo de la Reforma houses many of Mexico's greatest landmarks. Monuments such as the Angel of Independence and the Cuauhtemoc Memorial and the Diana Cazadora adorn this walkway, showing the nation's pride in its history and achievements.

History lovers will also enjoy the famous religious city of Teotihuacan, a capital of pre-Aztecan civilization. Travelers to Mexico will here find the famous Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon, which face one another. Spectacular views of the surrounding region can be see from the top of either monument.
